Polish Jewry: A search for roots

November 3 | 11:15 am

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Join Rabbi Howard Shub for a six-week course, Polish Jewry: A Search for Roots. For many American Jews, our roots trace back to Poland—yet how much do we truly know about the history and culture of Polish Jewry? Before the Shoah, Jews made up about ten percent of Poland’s population, with entire cities and shtetlach often half—or more—Jewish. Polish Jews flourished as professionals, artists, and community leaders. Though nearly 90% were lost in the Holocaust, today a growing number of Polish Jews are rediscovering their heritage. Join us on a journey through time to explore one of the most vibrant and influential Jewish communities in history.
