The Flame of Joy: Exploring Chassidism and Chabad

January 5 | 6:30 pm

Join Dr. Sandra Lilienthal as she discusses Chassidism and Chabad. Chassidism emerged in the 18th century with a message of warmth, song, and spiritual joy, offering a new way to feel connected to Jewish life and to God. It was a spiritual revolution that promoted a sense of closeness to God that reshaped Jewish life. In the first session, we will explore the beginnings of this movement, and in the second session we will focus on the Chabad movement, examining its unique philosophy, global influence, and continuing role in Jewish life today.
